Know The New Features And Rate of The New Hyundai i10
Hyundai India has finally launched the much-awaited Grand i10 in India. The Korean automaker launched the facelift model costing between Rs.4.58 lakh to Rs.7.32 lakh. The diesel modified car (with a new engine) may range from Rs.5.68 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
However, the new 1.2-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine and the 1.2-litre petrol engine are upgraded and much more advanced to deliver a better fuel efficiency. The petrol engine is estimated to deliver 82 horsepower and 11.6 Kgm of torque; and the diesel engine can deliver 74 horsepower and 19.4 Kgm of torque.
The looks of these cars are bold, sporty and dynamic while the interiors are enriched in comfort, luxury and Hi-tech amenities.
The new outer look
The new Grand i10 projects Hyundai’s new design identity with the Cascade Design Front Grille and Aerodynamic Profile, characterized by Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 which gives this Grand i10, a curved natural flowing streak. The front has a new radiator grille design, while the rear has a redesigned dual-tone bumper and LED DRLs (daytime running lights). The side profile remains the same except for a new diamond cut alloy wheels.
The new interior look of the car has a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system that supports smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. Additional features like rear parking assist system (with dual airbags), ABS, reverse parking sensors, rear parking camera and a cooled glove box. It also has a fully automatic temperature controller along with rear AC vents.
The new Hyundai Grand i10 engine will come with a 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine producing 81BHP of peak power and 116NM of peak torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 1.2L U2 diesel engine will come with maximum power output of 73BHP and maximum torque of 194 NM, mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
It has claimed to have a petrol engine fuel efficiency of 19.77 kmpl (MT) and 17.49 kmpl (AT); while the diesel engine gives a company claimed fuel efficiency of 24.95 kmpl.
The new Grand i10 has two new safety technologies: (1) – Lane Departure Warning System, (2) – Forward Collision Warning System. It will also get new 14″ steel wheels and wheel covers, rear spoiler with integrated brake light, electric front windows and remote central locking as standard.
The new Grand i10 will be available in six colours: Morning Blue, Polar White, Aqua Sparkling, Iced Coffee, Sleek Sliver and Star Dust.
